When it comes to your cabinet refinishing project your best course of action is to contact us at GB Painters. We will first take a look at the existing state of your cabinets and discuss with you what look you would like and what options are available. Cabinet refinishing may not be your answer. The situation might be dictated by the condition of your cabinets. In this case we will also make you aware of your options. Also, we do not recommend that you choose a color that is lighter than the natural color of your wood as this would require that the wood be fully stripped. We currently do not offer this option but would be happy to recommend someone in the area who does.

Although not necessary in all cases we ensure that any hardware, such as cabinet knobs and drawer handles,  are removed prior to the refinishing with the upmost care along with the cabinet doors. When the work is done, our staff will re-install your cabinet doors and the hardware on your newly refinished cabinets. They will also clean up any plastic that was put done and put everything back into its original location should something need to moved in order to complete the job.

​Along with the refinishing we also offer cabinet painting. This process is a bit more involved in that we will be removing, after careful labeling and documentation, every component of the system in order to see that the work is properly done. Despite what some painters may tell you, its not as simple to paint cabinets as it is to refinish them. There are manufacturer listed dry times, paint coat thickness requirements, proper primers for bonding on a molecular level and even application method to name a few of the factors that need to be within your expertise to complete the job. Rest assured that we are aware of them all and will see that your job job is done correctly.
